Scent Review

I haven't done a scent review for a while so for those of you who have seen a scent on our Fragrance List but are not sure whether to try it, hopefully this review will help you out.

CRANBERRY

This really is a true cranberry smell, it is very fruity, sweet & light. It's not overpowering at all and is one of my all time favourite scents.

BABY POWDER

This is one of those unmistakable scents. If you've ever smelled baby powder, you'll know exactly what this one is! It smells just like the real thing! White cedar and cypress blended with the aroma of blue violets, freesia and ylang for a dry woody powdery musk.

BLACK MAGIC

This scent is one that gets overlooked time and time again because I did it myself when I read the description. Trust me when I say that you really have to try it because the description doesn't do it justice! It's a blend of fir trees, spices and smooth vanilla but it has a very subtle scent.

I hope this has given you more of an insight into a few of the scents that you may have been wanting to try and if there are any of our other scents that you would like me to review, please feel free to ask and I'd be happy to oblige!

In The Kitchen This Week

Mel has been busy this week with turning her fab ideas into reality!

This week saw the arrival of the Baby-Themed mould as well as the Little Fishy mould, keep your eyes peeled for a very clever make involving the Little Fishy mould in the not too distant future. We had some new glasses arrive for some future new candle makes along with the long-awaited Latte Glasses which will be made into those awesome Latte Candles that you all seem to love!

The Baby-Themed melts consist of little rocking horses, lego pieces, cute bears & cars. Both these and the Little Fishy melts are currently being sold for £3.25 for a bag of 12 melts and are proving to be quite popular!

What's New at Melting Moments....

Despite the sun shining all week, Mel has been busy in the kitchen finishing up orders, buying new stock in and creating new ideas!

The Teacher's Gift Sets have been hugely popular, the Scented Tea Lights have finally made it onto the page, the new Spherical Candles made an appearance as did the Small Bucket Candles, the new Smiley Face melts are going down a storm and the Latte Glass Candles are popular as always and have sold out, although we are currently awaiting the delivery of some new glasses so keep checking the page for updates!

My favourite new make has to be the Spherical Candles, they look like the moon...or maybe that's just to me?

These candles are one of the biggest that we currently make at a whopping 300g! They are approximately 9cm high and 23cm circumference. The mould was one of the very first that Mel purchased so it was about time that she worked her magic on it! It would have been easy to just make a simple, plain Spherical Candle but that's not what Mel does. It has to be different and eye-catching and I think she has achieved both with this stunning creation. The candle is filled with different coloured wax "chunks" to achieve the "moon" look. These candles MUST be placed on a candle plate or something similar to prevent heat damage to any surfaces you place it on. All of this waxy goodness for only £8.50

Keep checking the page for updates on new products, order progress and new blogs!

Under The Spotlight - Happy As A Pig In .... Candle

There's been lots going on here at Melting Moments over the past couple of weeks! It's been busy, busy, busy for Mel in the kitchen!

She's been working on lots of new ideas and one of those ideas transformed into the Happy As A Pig In .... Candle!

This candle came about as we were brainstorming for new ideas and we were talking about how our candles hadn't really been as popular of late, so we wanted to spruce up our candle range. We looked through the HUGE stash of moulds and the piggy one is a favourite here so we decided to try and do something with that. At that point in time, Mel had poured a chocolate candle and I guess the idea just kind of created itself right there...and it pretty much named itself!

This candle is presented in a glass bowl so it is a deep candle weighing approximately 250g, giving you 35+ hours burn time.

The original candle was scented in chocolate for the "mud" with 3 strawberry scented pigs melts sitting in the mud. If chocolate and strawberry aren't your favourite scents then you can choose your own scents. These candles are priced at £8.50
